Gordon moved to the Islands last year from the UK where, following a return to university to study politics and international relations, he did social and economic development work in South America and in Cornwall, England.
Originally an entrepreneur in creative advertising and marketing where he started one of the first advertising agencies specialising in the charity sector, Gordon went on to a career focusing on business development for community and social enterprises and a specialism in hospitality and catering.
In his first year with FIDC, Gordon has gained particular satisfaction from developing their client mentoring programmes, and from establishing the Corporation’s enterprise training strands, which have seen close to 70 participants on courses including Business Start-up, Profitable Customer Care and Digital Marketing – helping forge a more skilled and resilient business community.
Now making the Falkland Islands the permanent home for his family Gordon hopes to do his best for a vibrant, connected and collaborative Island future.
