We have just received the printed copies of our 2017-2018 Annual Report. Some of you will already have seen this in its digital version on our website, but it’s always a pleasure to have the high-quality booklet to hand. If you haven’t already had this report delivered to you today by Ismael and Stacey, then do please call for us to send one out.

What you will read about in the well-designed (thanks again Julie Halliday at Studio 52) pages are updates on the Rural Development Strategy, the great new initiatives in YES! - young person’s entrepreneurship, business change and improvement at FIMCo, plus a look at the many well-received business training events run by FIDC in the year.

Also featuring alongside the terrific creative photography (commissioned from Georgina Strange) are client profiles on a selection of aspirational and successful local business we are working with. Our Projects and Business Development people (seen in the ‘Staff’ section – and happier every year to have their pictures taken) are hoping these inspiring stories will draw more entrepreneurs  into the Corporation’s busy Shackleton House offices, to discuss plans for the future.

There is space given to the necessary corporate governance statements, that demonstrate our capability and value, but even if you are ‘stats averse’ you might take a look at page 27, for the informative 2018 Business Climate Survey – and not least because we’d like you to see the upward trend in satisfaction with FIDC’s own performance, serving local economic development.
