ESTABLISHING A ROBUST HR CAPABILITY FOR FALKLAND ISLANDS MEAT COMPANY

FIDC requires the services of a highly experienced and qualified individual or organisation with a strong record of accomplishment in corporate HR, to develop and introduce a range of HR policies, procedures, practices and management resources, on a consultancy basis.

The Falkland Islands Development Corporation (FIDC) is carrying out a thorough Business Change/Improvement Programme at its subsidiary Falkland Islands Meat Company (FIMCo) - the Island’s abattoir and producer of high-quality meats and meat products for local and export markets.

FIMCo works with a mix of permanent local staff and seasonal contract workforce recruited overseas, so it is vital the firm has robust and progressive HR capability.

With the Improvement Programme delivering great results in production and logistics, and an HR audit completed, we now wish to move forward - introducing the highest standard of HR practice throughout the FIMCo business.

Contactors interested in this opportunity should have a reputation for achievement in HR consultancy, and ideally knowledge of the needs of small-to-medium industrial businesses including legal and Health & Safety matters.

With a range of documents available to work from, plus on-Islands support from FIMCo and the parent Company, this is achievable as a “desk-based” project.
