    FIDC works to deliver the objectives set out in the Rural Development Strategy and, in collaboration with the Rural Development Strategy Steering Group and other stakeholders from the public and private sectors, to help further develop Camp as a thriving community and economy.

The Rural Energy Grant Scheme is available to assist rural businesses to purchase a 24 hour power system that incorporates a renewable energy source.

The assistance available under this scheme is split into two areas,

  • A grant of up to 50% is available for covering the costs of a battery/inverter and its installation (including testing).
  • A grant of up to 70% is available for covering the cost of the renewable energy technology (maximum output per year 5,000kWh per business) and its installation.
