The FIDC Business Climate Survey 2021 is currently online
The survey will run for the whole month of April and the information collected captures a snapshot of how businesses feel the economy is performing and how they predict it will perform, as well as information regarding the types of businesses and sectors operating in the Islands. This provides FIDC with a picture of the current level of confidence in the economy.
You can access the survey via the following link:

The survey last ran in April 2020, at the height of Covid-19 lockdown in the Islands, and for this reason we are running an interim, extraordinary edition of the survey (which is usually run biennially) a full year on from lockdown, to gain additional information on the impact that Covid-19 has had on our economic confidence and business performance.
This year the Falkland Islands Tourism Association (FITA) have agreed to partner with FIDC and there is a specific FITA section included in the survey. Tourism is a sector that has seen some of the largest impacts from Covid-19 and potentially will see continued impact in the future.
Our thanks extend to the Falkland Islands Chamber of Commerce and Rural Business Association for their continued advice and support.
